Restorative Dentistry

Redefining your smile while improving your health.

Restorative Care

Improve. Enhance. Protect.
Headshot of Dr. Marwa Forest wearing her white dental coat

Gone are the days where people have to live with a smile they don’t admire or are too embarrassed to show others. Mint Dental offers restorative dentistry services to restore teeth that may have been damaged by common oral health problems or more serious dental issues. Damage, tooth decay, and even normal wear can all play a part in the decline of oral health.

Often, restorative dental procedures are only necessary because a patient may have overlooked essential routine dental care or has had a dental problem not visible to the naked eye. For this reason, we recommend visiting Mint Dental every six months for routine exams. In these exams, your Mint dentist will be able to check for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, or other dental health issues that can easily be preventable.

Mint Dental has held a strong reputation for completing restorations that make teeth appear completely natural, meaning friends, family, and even strangers cannot tell there was ever anything wrong with your teeth.

Our professionals have the training and technologies to restore your damaged teeth with natural-looking materials. You can retain an all-white, beautiful smile.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are the perfect way to replace missing teeth because they provide a fixed, permanent solution. They provide excellent support and stability and are the closest option to resembling real teeth.

An implant is an artificial root and tooth (typically made from titanium) that is surgically placed into the upper or lower jawbone by a trained dentist. A specially-fabricated tooth is then attached to the implant, giving the person a more complete and beautiful smile.

If you have decided that dental implants are a solution for you, your doctor will run proper tests as well as gauge your bone density and quality to verify you are a candidate for a tooth implant.

Dental Bridges

Dental bridges can replace a section of missing teeth in your mouth. They may be necessary if someone is missing one or more teeth but is not a candidate for dentures or dental implants.

A bridge is an artificial tooth held in place by a dental crown on either side of the gap created by the missing tooth. While there are several types of bridges offered, you and your dentist will discuss the best options for your particular case.

Dental bridges are ideal for those who have active lifestyles and don’t want to be constrained by their teeth. Want to know if a dental bridge procedure is right for you? At Mint Dental, our passion is to make it easier for patients to live their lives with more beautiful and functional smiles.

Full & Partial Dentures

Dentures are custom-made, removable replacements for missing teeth and surrounding tissues. They are made to resemble natural teeth and are an excellent solution for patients who have lost teeth whether from age, tooth decay, or accidents.

Patients with dentures have experienced positive results, such as a better ability to chew food, speak clearly, and digest food. Not to mention, they will give you a more full and beautiful smile.

Dr. Forest offers both partial and full dentures to those in the Edina and Shakopee, MN communities. We also provide denture repair and implant-retained denture options too.

I recently visited Mint Dental for a broken tooth. I've used this office for about three years. Dr. Forest joined the practice in 2017. My tooth was repaired expertly with a crown by Dr. Forest with her staff.
